Effective: October 24, 2024 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 144 - 135th General Assembly (A) A person who holds a current, valid certificate as a medication aide shall be known as a 'certified medication aide' or 'CMA.' The board of nursing shall establish and maintain a registry of certified medication aides and make the registry available on its internet web site. (B) No person shall engage in the administration of medication as a medication aide, represent the person as being a certified medication aide, or use the title, 'medication aide,' or any other title implying that the person is a certified medication aide, for a fee, salary, or other compensation, or as a volunteer, without holding a current, valid certificate as a medication aide under this chapter.
