Effective: April 5, 2001 Latest Legislation: House Bill 467 - 123rd General Assembly The superintendent of financial institutions shall, either personally, or by such person as the superintendent may appoint for the purpose, at least once every eighteen months, and more often if deemed advisable, investigate the business of every person licensed as a pawnbroker, and of every person by whom or for which any such loan or purchase shall be made, whether such person shall act, or claim to act, as principal, agent, or broker, or under or without the authority of this chapter, and for that purpose shall have free access to all the pledged or purchased articles, books, and all papers relating to the licensee's business. The superintendent and every examiner may examine, under oath or affirmation, any person whose testimony may relate to any business coming within this chapter.
