Effective: April 19, 1988 Latest Legislation: House Bill 708 - 117th General Assembly Any person who is injured by the failure of a person who is engaged in the business of purchasing articles that are made of or contain gold, silver, platinum, or other precious metals or jewels of any description to comply with this chapter may commence a civil action to recover compensatory damages from such person. In any action under this section, the court may award punitive damages or reasonable attorney's fees to a prevailing plaintiff.
