Effective: July 22, 1998 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 66 - 122nd General Assembly A copy of an original prescription may only be filled in accordance with the rules and regulations adopted by the state board of pharmacy.Prescriptions received electronically or by word of mouth, telephone, telegraph, or other means of communication shall be recorded in writing by the pharmacist and the record so made by the pharmacist shall constitute the original prescription to be filled by the pharmacist. All prescriptions shall be preserved on file at the pharmacy for a period of three years, subject to inspection by the proper officers of the law.
