Effective: December 29, 2023 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 131 - 134th General Assembly (A) Except as provided in division (B) of this section, a licensing authority shall provide an applicant with a written decision to issue or reject a license or government certification under this chapter or take any other action under this chapter within sixty days after receiving a complete application. For purposes of this division, an application shall not be considered complete until any required examination or criminal records check under divisions (A) and (B) of section 4796.08 of the Revised Code is complete. (B) If an applicant is the subject of a complaint, allegation, or investigation that relates to information provided in the application, unprofessional conduct, a violation of a law regulating a profession, occupation, or occupational activity, or an alleged crime pending before a court, administrative agency, licensing authority, or other entity that regulates a license, out-of-state occupational license, or government certification, a licensing authority shall not issue or deny a license or government certification to the applicant under this chapter until the complaint, f-state occupational license, or government certification, a licensing authority shall not issue or deny a license or government certification to the applicant under this chapter until the complaint, allegation, or investigation is resolved to the satisfaction of the licensing authority. A licensing authority shall provide the applicant with a written decision to issue or reject a license or government certification under this chapter or take any other action under this chapter within sixty days after the complaint, allegation, or investigation is resolved to the satisfaction of the licensing authority.
