Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly Before entering upon the duties of his office each public utilities commissioner shall take and subscribe to an oath of office, in writing, which shall be filed in the office of the secretary of state, and shall give a bond of five thousand dollars, with a sufficient surety approved by the treasurer of state; after such approval the bond shall be filed with the secretary of state. If such bond is executed by a surety company the premiums on it shall be paid from the funds appropriated for the expense of the public utilities commission.
