Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly For the purpose of avoiding annoyance to public travel, dangerous or difficult curves or grades, or unsafe or unsubstantial grounds or foundations, or when the roadbed has been injured or destroyed by the current of a river, watercourse, or other unavoidable or reasonable cause, a railroad company may change the location or grade of any portion of its railroad, but shall not depart from the general route prescribed in the articles of incorporation.
