Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly If, after receiving notice of his election or appointment to a township office, a person so elected or appointed fails to take the oath of office and give bond within the time required, he is deemed to have refused the office, and the vacancy shall be filled as provided in section 503.24 of the Revised Code.
