Effective: May 30, 2002 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 157 - 124th General Assembly The board of township trustees may construct, rebuild, and repair footbridges across rivers and streams when necessary, to provide convenient means of access to the public schools of the township by pupils residing in the school district in which a public schoolhouse is located. If a river or stream coincides with the boundary of two townships, either of the townships may construct, rebuild, or repair a footbridge across that river or stream at its own expense and subject to section 505.47 of the Revised Code. In no case shall the cost of the construction, rebuilding, or repair of any footbridge exceed the sum of fifteen thousand dollars.
