Effective: September 29, 2011 Latest Legislation: House Bill 153 - 129th General Assembly The territory of one or more townships may be merged with that of a contiguous township to create a new township, in the manner provided under this chapter. The new township shall have all of, and only, the rights, powers, and responsibilities afforded by law to townships.
