Effective: January 1, 2025 Latest Legislation: House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly (A) The director of job and family services and the director of children and youth, in accordance with section 111.15 of the Revised Code, may adopt rules under which county family services agencies shall take action to recover the cost of the following benefits and services available under programs administered by the department of job and family services or the department of children and youth: (1) Benefits or services provided to any of the following: (a) Persons who were not eligible for the benefits or services but who secured the benefits or services through fraud or misrepresentation; (b) Persons who were eligible for the benefits or services but who intentionally diverted the benefits or services to other persons who were not eligible for the benefits or services. (2) Any benefits or services provided by a county family services agency for which recovery is required or permitted by federal law for the federal programs administered by the agency. (B) A county family services agency may bring a civil action against a recipient of benefits or services to recover any costs described in
