Effective: January 1, 2025 Latest Legislation: House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly (A) The director of children and youth shall adopt rules in accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code to establish the following: (1) Policies and procedures for enforcing the minimum standards of operation for private, nonprofit therapeutic wilderness camps; (2) Procedures the director shall follow if the director determines that conditions at a camp pose imminent risk to the life, health, or safety of one or more children at a camp. (B) Rules adopted under this section shall be substantially similar, as determined by the director, to rules applicable to other residential care providers to children. (C) The director may issue, deny, or revoke a license according to procedures set forth in rules adopted under this section or section 5103.50 of the Revised Code.
