Effective: April 7, 2023 Latest Legislation: House Bill 45 - 134th General Assembly (A) In addition to the duties described in division (D) of section 5104.30 of the Revised Code, the director of job and family services shall engage in activities to do the following: (1) Encourage the establishment and licensure of family day-care homes in this state, especially in areas with the greatest need for child care; (2) Connect families and caretaker parents in need of child care with family day-care homes not meeting the license capacity specified on their licenses, as described in division (E) of section 5104.03 of the Revised Code. (B) The director may contract with one or more third-party entities to assist the director in performing the duties described in division (A) of this section. (C) Not later than May 30, 2023, and periodically thereafter, the director shall submit to the general assembly a report documenting any barriers that may prevent the establishment or licensure of family day-care homes.
