Effective: September 29, 1999 Latest Legislation: House Bill 283 - 123rd General Assembly (A) A specified relative of a minor child residing with the minor child is not required to be included in the minor child's assistance group. To the extent permitted by rules adopted under section 5107.05 of the Revised Code governing assistance group composition requirements and except as provided in division (B) of this section, the specified relative may choose to be included in the minor child's assistance group.(B) If a specified relative resides with the specified relative's own minor child and another minor child who is related to the specified relative in a manner that makes the specified relative a specified relative, the specified relative shall be, to the extent provided by rules adopted under section 5107.05 of the Revised Code governing assistance group composition requirements, a member of the assistance group of the specified relative's own minor child but may not be a member of the other minor child's assistance group.(C) A guardian or custodian may not be a member of the assistance group of the minor child for whom the guardian or custodian is guardian or custodian, unless the other minor child's assistance group.(C) A guardian or custodian may not be a member of the assistance group of the minor child for whom the guardian or custodian is guardian or custodian, unless the guardian or custodian is a specified relative of the minor child.
