Effective: October 3, 2023 Latest Legislation: House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly As used in sections 5107.40 to 5107.69 of the Revised Code: (A) 'Alternative work activity' means an activity designed to promote self sufficiency and personal responsibility established by a county department of job and family services under section 5107.64 of the Revised Code. (B) 'Developmental activity' means an activity designed to promote self sufficiency and personal responsibility established by a county department of job and family services under section 5107.62 of the Revised Code. (C) 'Certificate of high school equivalence' means a certificate attesting to achievement of the equivalent of a high school education as measured by scores obtained on a high school equivalency test approved by the department of education and workforce pursuant to division (B) of section 3301.80 of the Revised Code. 'Certificate of high school equivalence' includes a certificate of high school equivalence issued prior to January 1, 1994, attesting to the achievement of the equivalent of a high school education as measured by scores obtained on tests of general educational development.
