Effective: September 29, 2015 Latest Legislation: House Bill 64 - 131st General Assembly County departments of job and family services shall establish and administer alternative work activities for minor heads of households and adults participating in Ohio works first. In establishing alternative work activities, county departments are not limited by the restrictions Title IV-A imposes on work activities. The following are examples of alternative work activities that a county department may establish:(A) Parenting classes and life-skills training;(B) Participation in addiction services provided by a community addiction services provider, as defined in section 5119.01 of the Revised Code;(C) In the case of a homeless assistance group, finding a home;(D) In the case of a minor head of household or adult with a disability, active work in an individual written rehabilitation plan with the opportunities for Ohioans with disabilities agency;(E) In the case of a minor head of household or adult who has been the victim of domestic violence, residing in a domestic violence shelter, receiving counseling or treatment related to the domestic violence, or participating in criminal justice
