Effective: October 6, 2009 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 79 - 128th General Assembly The director of developmental disabilities may, by rule and with the approval of the governor, change the purpose for which any institution under the control of the department is being used. The director may designate a new or another use for the institution, provided the change of use and new designation has for its objective improvement in the classification, segregation, care, education, cure, or rehabilitation of the persons admitted.
