Effective: October 6, 1994 Latest Legislation: House Bill 571 - 120th General Assembly With the approval of the director of rehabilitation and correction, convicts in state correctional institutions may voluntarily participate, as research subjects, in medical research programs approved by the director. Any remuneration received from a researcher for participation by convict volunteer research subjects shall be paid into the prisoner's aid fund to provide books and other educational materials for the inmates of the volunteer's correctional institution.
