Effective: January 1, 2025 Latest Legislation: House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly The governor shall establish the early intervention services advisory council, which shall serve as the state interagency coordinating council, as described in 20 U.S.C. 1441. In establishing the council, the governor shall comply with the requirements of 20 U.S.C. 1441, including the requirement to ensure that the membership of the council reasonably represents the population of the state. The governor shall appoint one of the council members to serve as chairperson of the council, or the governor may delegate appointment of the chairperson to the council. No member of the council representing the department of health or the department of children and youth shall serve as chairperson.
