Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly If the petition of a person claiming dower is contested, and the court of common pleas finds that such person is entitled to dower as claimed therein, the defendant so contesting shall pay all costs of the suit. If the petition is not contested, the plaintiff shall pay one third, and the legal owner of the real estate two thirds of the costs.
