Effective: June 15, 2006 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 206 - 126th General Assembly A member's participation in the deferred retirement option plan ceases on the occurrence of the earliest of the following:(A) Termination of the member's active service in the state highway patrol;(B) The last day of the eight-year period that begins on the effective date of the member's election to participate in the plan;(C) The member's sixtieth birthday;(D) Acceptance by the member of a disability benefit awarded by the state highway patrol retirement board under section 5505.18 of the Revised Code;(E) The member's death.
