Effective: July 22, 1994 Latest Legislation: House Bill 448 - 120th General Assembly The board of county commissioners, the board of townships trustees, or the legislative authority of a municipal corporation may enter into contracts with cemetery associations providing for the purchase and maintenance, in cemeteries within the county, of plots of ground for the burial of deceased veterans and the deceased spouses of veterans. Any such purchase may be made either by cash or by installment payments. The purchase price and maintenance cost of all such burial plots shall be paid from the treasury of the county, township, or municipal corporation contracting for such plots.
