Effective: April 6, 2023 Latest Legislation: House Bill 281 - 134th General Assembly (A) A person with a mental illness subject to court order whose mental condition causes the person to be dangerous to the community shall not be admitted to a veterans' home. If a person with a mental illness subject to court order, through misrepresentation as to the person's condition, is sent to a home, the person shall be returned to, and the expense of the return shall be borne by, the county from which the person came.
