Effective:\nSeptember 29, 2017\nLatest Legislation:\nHouse Bill 49 - 132nd General Assembly\nEvery local area shall establish and administer a local workforce development system for workforce development activities. The chief elected official or officials of a local area shall ensure that at least one comprehensive OhioMeansJobs center is available in the local area. An OhioMeansJobs center may be supported by electronic means approved by the director of job and family services for the provision of workforce development activities.\nEvery OhioMeansJobs center shall be named 'OhioMeansJobs (name of county) County.'\nEvery OhioMeansJobs center shall be operated by an OhioMeansJobs center operator.\nThe local workforce development system shall include representatives of all the partners required under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
