Effective: July 6, 1982 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 23 - 114th General Assembly The general assembly, by a committee; the governor; the legislative authority of the municipal corporation, by a committee; the mayor or the board of health of a municipal corporation; the judge of any court of this state; the grand jury of the county; or a duly authorized representative of the governor may at any time visit and inspect any of the benevolent or correctional institutions established by a municipal corporation, and examine the books and accounts thereof.
