Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly The legislative authority of a municipal corporation shall choose a clerk and such other officers and employees of its own body as are necessary. The clerk shall keep the records of the legislative authority and perform such other duties as are required by ordinance or resolution. All officers and employees chosen by the legislative authority shall serve during the pleasure thereof.
