Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly No money shall be drawn from the treasury of a municipal corporation except in pursuance of appropriations made by the legislative authority, and whenever an appropriation is so made the clerk shall forthwith give notice to the auditor and treasurer. Appropriations may be made in furtherance of improvements or other objects or work of the municipal corporation which will not be completed within the current year. At the end of each year all unexpended balances of appropriations shall revert to the respective funds from which they were appropriated and shall then be subject to future appropriations.
