Effective: September 29, 2011 Latest Legislation: House Bill 153 - 129th General Assembly As used in sections 709.43 to 709.48 of the Revised Code, 'merger' means the annexation, one to another, of existing municipal corporations or of the unincorporated area of a township with one or more municipal corporations, or the merger of one or more municipal corporations with the unincorporated area of a township.
