Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly Any municipal corporation may hold, improve, protect, and preserve public grounds, parks, park entrances, free recreation centers, and boulevards.Such municipal corporation may acquire by purchase, lease, with privilege of purchase, gift, devise, condemnation, or otherwise, and hold, real estate or any interest therein and other property for the use of the municipal corporation and may sell, lease, or donate by deed, in fee simple to the state, such property as a site for the erection of an armory.
