Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly When the mayor is absent from the city, or is unable for any cause to perform his duties, the president of the legislative authority shall be the acting mayor. While such president is acting as mayor, he shall not serve as president of the legislative authority.
