Effective: October 9, 2021 Latest Legislation: House Bill 263 - 133rd General Assembly (A) Except as provided in division (B) of this section, the director of agriculture may suspend, prior to a hearing, for not longer than ten days, and after the opportunity for a hearing may deny, suspend, revoke, refuse to renew, or modify any provision of any license, permit, or registration issued pursuant to this chapter if the director finds that the applicant or the holder of a license, permit, or registration is no longer qualified, has violated any provision of this chapter or rules adopted under it, has been found guilty of violating the federal act, or has been convicted of a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or of a felony. (B) The director shall not deny a license, permit, or registration issued pursuant to this chapter because an applicant was convicted of or pleaded guilty to an offense unless the refusal is in accordance with section 9.79 of the Revised Code.
