In a statutory council-manager city, the terms of the elected officers shall be staggered so that at any one general municipal election, the following officers are to be elected for four-year terms: 1. Councilmembers from Wards One, Two and Five (if one).At the next general municipal election, the following officers are to be elected for four-year terms:1. Councilmembers from Wards Three, Four and Six (if one); and2. The councilmember at large.Laws 1977, c. 256, § 16-208, eff. July 1, 1978.
