§ 11-41-103

At the time of surveying and platting, the owner of the municipality, addition or subdivision of lots and blocks, or his agent, shall form the base line from which future surveys are to be made. The base line shall be formed by placing on the line of a street two good and sufficient monuments of such size and dimension as the surveyor shall direct. The point or points where the base line may be found shall be distinguished on the plat or map. Laws 1977, c. 256, § 41-103, eff. July 1, 1978.
