A. The county purchasing agent may require each bidder for county contracts for supplies, equipment or materials to provide information as to the manufacturer and country of origin of any supplies, equipment or materials for the county as specified by labels attached to the supplies, equipment or materials where such identification is required by federal or state law. If an item has more than one component part or accessory which may have been manufactured in more than one country, the bidder may specify the countries of origin for only the major component parts or accessories as determined by the Board of County Commissioners where such identification is required by federal or state law. B. Any county contract for the purchase of supplies, equipment or materials may require the contractor to obtain from all of his subcontractors information as to the manufacturer and country or countries of origin of any such supplies, equipment or materials provided to the county where such identification is required by federal or state law.Added by Laws 1992, c. 205, § 2, eff.
