A. Any person convicted of a misdemeanor pursuant to the provisions of Sections 1168 through 1168.5 of this title shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. B. Any person convicted of a felony pursuant to the provisions of Sections 1168 through 1168.5 of this title shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), by imprisonment in the State Penitentiary not exceeding two (2) years, or by both such fine and imprisonment.Added by Laws 1987, c. 204, § 18, operative July 1, 1987.
