A. Sections 1355 through 1369 of this title shall be known and may be cited as the 'Indigent Defense Act'. B. The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System is hereby created, to provide counsel in cases, as provided in the Indigent Defense Act, in which the defendant is indigent and unable to employ counsel.C. Unless otherwise provided, the provisions of the Indigent Defense Act shall not be applicable in counties subject to the provisions of Section 138.1a of Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes.Added by Laws 1981, c. 207, § 1, emerg. eff.
