A. Every health maintenance organization shall establish and maintain a grievance procedure that has been approved by the Insurance Commissioner to provide for the resolution of grievances initiated by enrollees. Such grievance procedure shall be approved by the Insurance Commissioner within thirty (30) days of submission. The health maintenance organization shall maintain a record of grievances received since the date of its last examination of grievances. B. The Insurance Commissioner may examine the grievance procedures.C. Health maintenance organizations shall comply with the requirements of an insurer as set out in Sections 1250.1 through 1250.16 of this title.Added by Laws 2003, c. 197, § 11, eff. Nov. 1, 2003.
