A. Any person who, with intent to defraud, falsely makes, alters, forges, utters, passes, or counterfeits a state lottery ticket shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), by imprisonment for not longer than five (5) years, or by both such fine and imprisonment. B. Any person who influences or attempts to influence the winning of a prize through the use of coercion, fraud, deception, or tampering with lottery equipment or materials shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), by imprisonment for not longer than five (5) years, or by both such fine and imprisonment.Added by Laws 2003, c. 58, § 28, adopted at election held on Nov. 2, 2004.
