§ 47-11-1201

A. It is a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine of not less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for any person to do any act forbidden or fail to perform any act required in this article. A conviction for the violation of any offense in this article shall not be recorded on the driving record of the person. B. The parent or legal guardian of any child or the guardian of any ward shall not authorize or knowingly permit any child or ward to violate any of the provisions of this article.C. Except as otherwise provided, the provisions of this article shall apply whenever a bicycle or motorized scooter is operated upon any highway or upon any path set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles or motorized scooters.Added by Laws 1961, p. 390, § 11-1201.
