Insofar as it is consistent with state law, all cities and towns may adopt and maintain the 'Model Traffic Ordinance' of the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Laws and Ordinances. Laws 1967, c. 120, § 1, emerg. eff. April 25, 1967.
