(a) The Commissioner shall require that the Division of Highway Patrol properly patrol the highways of this state and cooperate with sheriffs and police officers in enforcing the laws regulating the operation of vehicles and the use of highways. (b) The Commissioner may establish a school for the training and education of the members of said Division in traffic regulation, the promotion of traffic safety and enforcement of the laws regulating the operation of vehicles and the use of the highways.(c) All members of said Division when on duty shall be dressed in distinctive uniform and display a badge of office.Laws 1961, p. 330, § 2-118.
