A debtor municipal corporation or political subdivision of this state is hereby permitted and authorized, as a debtor, to initiate and conduct proceedings provided by the Bankruptcy Acts of the United States for the readjustment of municipal debts according to the provisions of said Bankruptcy Acts. Laws 1935, p. 123, § 2.
