A. The Vital Records Section of the State Department of Health shall obtain and record all social security numbers of the parents for each live birth in this state. The social security numbers are not required to be recorded on the birth certificate of the child. B. The Vital Records Section of the State Department of Health shall obtain and record the social security number, if any, of any person who has died in this state.
