Schedule IV includes substances with the following characteristics: 1. Low potential for abuse relative to substances listed in Schedule III;2. Currently accepted medical use in treatment in use in the United States; and3. Abuse of the substance may lead to limited physical dependence or psychological dependence relative to the substances listed in Schedule III.Added by Laws 1971, c. 119, § 2-209, operative Sept. 1, 1971.
