A state of catastrophic health emergency may be declared by the Governor upon the occurrence of a 'catastrophic health emergency' as defined in paragraph 2 of Section 4 of this act. Prior to such a declaration, the Governor shall consult with the public health authority and may consult with any additional public health or other experts as needed. Added by Laws 2003, c. 473, § 9.
