The Oklahoma Legislature believes that any student who graduates from any institution of higher education in The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education should have a demonstrable knowledge of basic courses: English composition and comprehension and mathematics. It is therefore the intent of the Legislature that, prior to enrollment in upper division classes, each student shall demonstrate satisfactory achievement by passing a comprehensive examination. The Legislature commends the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for initiating the study of how best to accomplish this purpose. Added by Laws 1987, c. 227, § 10, operative July 1, 1987.
