A. 1. A county floodplain board shall be composed of five (5) members to be appointed by the board of county commissioners. 2. All the members of the board shall be residents of the county and shall own or operate real property within the unincorporated area of the county.3. Two members shall be appointed for terms of two (2) years, two members shall be appointed for terms of four (4) years and one member shall be appointed for a term of six (6) years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be made for terms of six (6) years.4. All members shall serve without compensation. Members may be removed by the board of county commissioners for cause after a public hearing for that purpose.5. Vacancies shall be filled by additional appointments for the unexpired term only.B. 1.
