(1) Subject to applicable provisions of a personnel plan established by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, a person to serve as trial court administrator for:\n(a) One judicial district shall be appointed by the presiding judge for the judicial district, with the approval of a majority of the circuit court judges in the district.\n(b) The circuit court in a judicial district shall be appointed by the presiding judge for the judicial district, with the approval of a majority of the circuit court judges.\n(c) Two or more adjoining judicial districts shall be appointed by the presiding judges for the judicial districts, with the approval of a majority of the circuit court judges in the districts.\n(2) A trial court administrator may be removed from the office by the appointing presiding judge as provided in a personnel plan established by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
