(1) The court shall collect the following filing fees for the filing of the initial documents in a conservatorship proceeding:\n(a) If the value of the estate is less than $50,000, $278.\n(b) If the value of the estate is $50,000 or more, but less than $1 million, $591.\n(c) If the value of the estate is $1 million or more, but less than $10 million, $882.\n(d) If the value of the estate is $10 million or more, $1,176.\n(2) The court shall collect the following fees for an annual or final accounting filed in a conservatorship proceeding:\n(a) If the value of the estate is less than $50,000, $35.\n(b) If the value of the estate is $50,000 or more, but less than $1 million, $298.\n(c) If the value of the estate is $1 million or more, but less than $10 million, $591.\n(d) If the value of the estate is $10 million or more, $1,176.\n(3) For the purpose of determining the value of the estate under this section, the amount of a settlement in a wrongful death action brought for the benefit of the decedent’s surviving spouse or dependents is not part of the estate.\n(4) Except as provided in subsection (1) of this section, at the time of filing an appearance in a conservatorship proceeding
