Noneconomic damages, as defined in ORS 31.705, may not be awarded to an adult in custody in an action against a public body unless the adult in custody has established that the adult in custody suffered economic damages, as defined in ORS 31.705. [1999 c.657 §6; 2019 c.213 §10; 2021 c.478 §5]
